Train Your Dog using Invisible Dog Fences

Training a dog to stay within the yard or compound can be difficult and stressful. Most dogs like to jump and sniff around and because they are not fully aware of their surroundings they may end up in a new place within a few minutes. Locating their way back may be difficult, and they may end up getting lost. Technology, however, has provided pet owners with a new device that they can use to train their dogs with. This device is the invisible dog fence. Dog owners can use the invisible dog fence to train their dogs to stay within the compound as they play. The first step to training is to have an invisible dog fence installed. The installation process is done by placing an underground electric wire in the compound at a certain boundary. The electric wire is connected to a receiver which is usually a collar that you put around the dog.

Since the dog has no way of knowing where the electric wire is, flags are placed to mark the boundary of the electric wire. These flags will show the dog where in the yard perimeter they are not supposed to cross because electric signals will be sent to the collar which ‘shock' the dog. The term ‘shock' is used, but in the real sense, they are harmless electrical signals that cause no more than a tingly sensation. The dog can be trained to stop every time they feel the warning sign when they are close to the flag. With time the dog will mark the territory with the flag, and they can be removed. The dog will not cross the perimeter with the invisible fence at any time because they have learned there is a consequence of getting close to it. The invisible dog fence is a perfect and economical way to ensure the safety of pets. For more info read on Invisible Fence NJ.
